How does the Digital Media Kiosk (DMK) work?
By
inserting their memory chips (digital media) into the
kiosk or by using infrared or blue tooth technology
the customer is able to print digital photographs on
quality Kodak paper.
The
DMK offers the most popular photo sizes and features
(4 x 6, 4 wallet size photos, index prints). The kiosk
also has the facilities to allow the customer to make
their own additions to their pictures, for example,
rotating, zooming, lightening and darkening. There is
also a fast track option whereby the customer is able
to immediately print all pictures without making any
changes.
New
Mobile phones with cameras have exploded onto the retail
market. The Digital Media Kiosk also enables customers
to print images taken by camera-equipped mobile phones.
Using this service, images taken by these mobile phones
can be turned into prints quickly and effortlessly.
The user simply points the mobile phone at Photo-Me's
Digital Media Kiosk via Infrared or Blue tooth and the
data is transmitted into the machine.
The
latest digital cameras also have Blue tooth technology,
which means that the customer is able to directly transmit
their images into the machine from their camera.
