Bear
in the Big Blue House features a charming cast
of Muppets that educate and entertain through childhood exploration.
The series introduces a group of wonderful new characters.
Bear, the host of the half-hour show, is exuberant, playful,
curious, funny and filled with civility and concern. He speaks
directly to the audience and invites them into his home each
day to play, learn and sing with his friends Tutter, the mouse;
Ojo, the little bear; Pip and Pop, two otters; Treelo, the
lemur; and Luna, the moon. Together they explore such diverse
concepts as art, water, shapes, gravity, friendship and safety.
In the UK, Bear in the Big Blue
House is on constantly throughout 2002 on Channel
5 and The Disney Channel. On Channel 5 it is the Number 1
pre-school show and has a loyal audience of 370,000 total
individuals and 100,000 housewives with children, in the first
part of 2002. Over 355,000 videos and DVD's have been sold
in the UK since the Bear was launched.
In Ireland, Bear is the Number 1 show on the Irish channel
Den2. The average viewing figures for February on this channel
