It was in 1954 that the first customer sat inside a Photo-Me photobooth. And – amazingly for that time – walked away with their pictures a few minutes later.

Literally hundreds millions of people have since done the same, to get Photo-Me images for their passports, student and work IDs, and more.

Today, Photo-Me is the world’s leading operator of photobooths and a major supplier of other instant vending equipment.

You will find us in 17 countries around the world, in 45,000 vending locations. This includes nearly 27,000 photobooths, 6,000 children’s rides and 4,700 digital kiosks, in high footfall areas such as shopping centres, supermarkets and major rail stations.

Photo-Me is the clear leader in the UK photobooth market with an installed base of over 5,700 units.

We have sustained this leadership with a constant programme of R&D and consumer innovation. For example, our leading edge ‘ICAO’ software guides customers so that their pictures are guaranteed to comply with the UK’s passport and driving licence standards.

Photo-Me has also delivered a stream of new products and service ideas. These include digital imaging from pictures uploaded from mobiles and tablets; instant photo products such as photoposters; photobooks and calendars; greetings cards, mobile phone photo cases and more.

We have even commissioned the legendary designer Philippe Starck to design our latest photobooth experience.

More than just photos

Throughout the UK, Photo-Me also provides a range of innovative kiddie rides.

Constant innovation keeps the range fresh for the toughest audience of all: fun-hungry kids. We supply coin-operated children’s rides themed from favourite characters, as well as interactive rides, carousels, candy dispensers, simulators and the only 4D ride in the world.

In total contrast, we have just launched a further concept in the UK following excellent results in Europe. It’s called Revolution, a fully automated laundromat that is designed to be located outside retail or leisure outlets, with 24/7 operation.



A total support system

Photo-Me equipment is built to the highest technical and durable standards in order to maximise availability for customers and revenue for retailers.

If faults do occur, remote technologies or the fast response of our service team will resolve the issue. Photo-Me:

  • is backed by a 150-strong, full-time technical service team
  • makes 28,000 planned maintenance visits to 6,000 premises, every month
  • operates servicing according to ISO 9001
  • provides safe rides, conforming to all standards laid down by the British Amusement Catering Trades’ Association (BACTA) and the Amusement Devices Inspection Procedure System (ADIPS).
  • responds to service calls typically within 5 working hours, 7 days a week.
